Black to Basics

Reese Witherspoon at the Berlin premiere of How Do You Know
At a time when the red carpets and fashionable events seem to be flooded with beautiful colors and lovely interesting shades of nude, navy and brown, its refreshing to see some of my favorite style icons going back to black! Black is always chic and modern! We've seen Audrey in black with pearls in Breakfast at Tiffany, Julia Roberts was unforgettable in her black lace cocktail dress in Pretty Woman and more recently, Michelle Obama has looked stunning wearing black to several different occasions! I'm always a fan of black for any occasion (I'm wearing all black and grey as I type this with a purple ring and bright purple earrings!) and think that when all else fails ladies, get black to basics!

While some stick to basic black, others remind us that being chic can be as easy as black and white!
