Creme de la Mer Master Class at Harvey Nichols

Harvey Nichols in Knightsbridge held a Creme de la Mer master class last night and it was great! Hosted by several la Mer education representatives, the master class was informative and lots of fun. It was like girlfriends, sitting around a table laughing, drinking champaign and learning while trying very luxurious products - like a big slumber party for grown women who love skincare!

After learning about the products and their oceanic origins, how long they last, how they're made and the science behind it all, we had the opportunity to try out the products that would be best for our desired results.

The good news for all you Creme de la Mer lovers is that there's a new product, the Reparative Body Lotion! Having tried this product myself, I can confirm that it offers all the things you expect from Creme de la Mer but for the body instead of the face.

All the products we tried out were fabulous, but during the quick time I was there and having only tried each product on the back of my hand, my favourite is the SPF 18 Fluid Tint, a light tinted moisturiser that's available in 3 different shades. I'm a big fan of tinted moisturisers for summer in lieu of heavy foundation and la Mer's version is the nicest I've tried so far. At £55, it's not cheap, but it's one of the lower priced products by la Mer and a great option for someone who would love to try one of the products without breaking the bank completely. I hope to try it on my face in the future and I'll be able to give a more comprehensive review of the product then.

We all walked away with our personalised product recommendations and a goodie bag - all in all it was a fabulous evening and I can't wait to try more Creme de la Mer products in the future! If you have the opportunity to attend a Creme de la Mer master class, I highly recommend it. Even if you don't buy the products, there are great things to be learned about skincare from the experts.
