Old Spitalfields Market, London

Having never really explored East London before, I set out for Shoreditch last week where I had a meeting and decided to make a day of it. We stumbled upon Old Spitalfields Market, a true London gem in my opinion! We hung out there for hours browsing and having a great time!

Some people might look at a lot of the wares sold at the markets and immediately dismiss them as junk, but as they say, "One man's trash is another man's treasure!" There are loads of old treasures to be admired or purchased... Everything from old buttons and war time cookbooks to vintage Chanel or Dior! Sellers literally have boxes of jewellery for £1 per piece which is a total bargain if you find something you fancy - great for budget fashionistas!

My husband who's a budding photographer and writes a photography blog called The Postmarc enjoyed checking out all the vintage cameras - technology sure has come a long way in a short period of time!

Music fans will enjoy the massive selection of cd's, records and memorabilia from favourite classic artists!

The antiques are out of this world! Some true treasures to be found from furniture to rare Bakelight pieces.

The surrounding neighbourhood of Shoreditch is great fun to visit. Wall art can be found nearly everywhere you look and I just had to share these shots I took with Instagram!

I didn't find anything I particularly wanted to buy on this trip, but I look forward to shopping for vintage clothes, jewellery and accessories at Spitalfields in the future!

If you live in London or visit frequently, where are your favourite places for fabulous vintage finds?
