I'm trying something new - I've decided to try out a gluten free diet. I still have quite a lot of foods in my flat that contain glutens so I'll be weaning over the next week or two (waste not, want not), but eventually, I'd like to be gluten free most of the time. I've heard amazing things about the perks of a gluten free diet for people who suffer from allergies, not to mention the weight loss ah la Miley Cyrus and the healthy skin benefits.
Obviously, I'll have a cupcake or pizza now and then - I don't have Celiacs Disease and this is not a doctor demanded experiment, so I'm not going to torture myself. I expect this whole experiment to fly out the window during my two weeks in Paris this Autumn when I'm eating my bodyweight in croissants and baguettes, but I'm hoping on a more long-term basis, it will help me to improve my eating habits.
The 6 things above are some gluten free snacks I'm loving at the moment! I've been drinking green teas like crazy and almond butter on apples or bananas is the best snack ever!
Are any of you on a gluten free diet? How do you like it? What do you eat? What are your favourite snack foods? Have you lost weight on the diet? Please leave comments and tell me how it's going for you - I always love hearing from readers about their experiences!
