Coffee and how you brew it is definitely a personal preference. Do you set a timer on an electric machine so you wake up to the aroma of fresh brew, use a caffetiere, make instant coffee or make a daily trip to Starbucks? Are you a French Roast kind of coffee drinker or do you buy whatever's on sale? There are lots of things to consider when deciding on your coffee style.
Whatever your morning coffee preferences, entertaining presents the opportunity to serve coffee in style. Personally, during the day I'm usually an instant coffee kind of girl since it's just me, but when I'm entertaining, I break out the caffetiere and the good fresh coffee. To me, it's just as important and putting out the good dishes!
So, I'm curious to know... What's your coffee style?
Oh, dear, you had me at "Coffee".
ReplyDeleteI am a coffee fiend. I have a Keurig but since realizing those k-cups are bad for the environment, I've moved to an AeroPress. It's a little more work but my coffee is so much tastier because it's fresh. When company comes though, I break out the Keurig and let everyone pick their own style.
This is a lovely coffeemaker though, and would be so great for parties! I'm adding it to my wish list!
I love your coffee enthusiasm Amy! xx
DeleteThis coffeemaker is very cool. I could see it in my ideal kitchen. I grew up on coffee, there was rule in our house that when you finish a pot you make a new one. When I moved to London, the lack of space in the kitchen meant I could only have a caffetiere. I finally got a fancy electric pot with a timer for Christmas this year. I agree that you have to get out the good coffee and cups for guests, although I've been trying to do so more on regular mornings to treat myself. Beautiful coffee equipment like this little find make that experience so much more then just a quick cup of coffee, it becomes an event, something to slow down for. Thanks for sharing this with coffeemaker with us. Now I have a new addition for my kitchen wish list.
ReplyDeleteI agree whole heartedly about treating yourself to the same cuppa you'd serve guests! Good for you! xx
DeleteMy name is Jamie and I'm a coffee addict! I have a keurig and a small coffee pot. I rotate between the two. I mostly drink dunkin donuts coffee and generally I'm buying the coffee in a flavor such as gingerbread, vanilla, pumpkin spice, or coconut . I have given up the fu-fu (flavored and sugared) coffee creamers as of 2013 as they give me the "shakes" by 10am if I drink them. Now it's good old half and half in the fresh brew and boy am I happy girl. Have to have it! Bo thinks coffee looks and tastes like dirty water...no problem here...more for me. Yummmmmmmmm coffee!
ReplyDeleteMy name is Jamie and I'm a coffee addict. I have two coffee makers. One keurig and one small personal maker. I generally buy dunkin donuts coffee or coffee in about any flavor. As of 2013 I have given up the fu-fu coffee creamers (flavored and sugared) as they give me the "shakes" by 10am. Now I use good old half and half and I'm just perfect. Bo thinks coffee looks and tastes just like dirty water...no problem here....more for me. Yummmmmmmm coffee!
ReplyDeleteMe too Jamie! I probably have at least 4 cups of coffee a day, though most days I'd say more! hahaha
