Right Now - Art of Elysium, Bobs, Whiskey & Moonrise Kingdom

I've decided to start sharing new discoveries every week in Fashion, Beauty, Lifestyle & Entertainment in a round-up. This is the first installment - enjoy!

  1. The Art of Elysium Gala is a red carpet I always look forward to seeing and Kirsten Dunst stole the show in her checkered Louis Vuitton gown.
  2. Velvet tuxedo jackets have been all over the red carpets of Awards Season so far and I for one am a fan - it's nice to see the fellas pushing the fashion envelope!
  1. This week I started using Herbalife Aloe Hand & Body Wash - I love it! It's thick and luxurious, smells amazing and is doing wonders for my skin! (c/o Herbalife)
  2. I have never had luck in the past with mousse - well, not since my perm days, but I always see my hair stylist putting into my hair before a blow dry. Thanks to the folks at Trevor Sorbie, I've finally found a winner! The Trevor Sorbie Beautiful Volume Volumizing Mousse is amazing for getting an amazing blow dry and keeping my hair from falling flat! (c/o Trevor Sorbie)
  3. 20's Flapper hairstyles have been all over the red carpets as seen here on Amy Adams. I'm not a big fan of the deco waves, but I have been experimenting all week with a faux bob - I've yet to succeed so if you have any tips, please leave a comment below!
  1. Quilting isn't just for Chanel Bags anymore - it's the newest trend in home decor as well!
  2. Japanese whiskeys are all the rage right now and sources report that Yoichi is the best! While the 20 year Yoichi is the major contender, the 10 year is also amazing and a little easier on your handbag. I had the pleasure of tasting the 10 year Yoichi and it's definitely worth trying, not to mention a great gift for whiskey lovers!
  3. I've been making the effort to try out more wines and I've been pretty lucky so far! Esprit de Chablis Premier Cru is a gorgeous white and I highly recommend it!
  1. Revenge is back and it's just as good as I remember!
  2. Mister Selfridge had a rocky start, but I think it's getting better even though Jeremy Piven is not...
  3. On the music front, I'm currently obsessed with HAIM & Nina Nesbitt! To see what else I've been listening to, check out the Weekly Tune-up on Spotify (see below), a new playlist that I will be updating weekly with what's new on my musical radar!
  4. I finished On the Road this week and to be honest, I was a little disappointed. I do think everyone should read this book at least once in their life because it has a lot to offer, but don't be surprised if you don't think it's as good as everyone lets on... I didn't. It's a lot of rambling and very little plot, but some of the writing is truly beautiful!
  5. I just saw Moonrise Kingdom for the first time - it's genius, very funny and the return of Edward Norton to the screen is very welcome!
