The Critics Choice Best & Worst Dressed

BEST

As far as The Critics Choice Awards are concerned, I'm happy to report that the good far outweighed the bad! Marion Cotillard stole the show in a tea length full-skirted floral showstopper by Zuhair Murad and she takes my vote for best dressed of the evening, though I'll admit it was a tough call to make. Gorgeous!

Emily Blunt takes a close second in her ankle length white Pucci frock with sexy red lips and gold accessories. Her look is very modern Gatsby - sexy, chic and sophisticated!

Helen Hunt was almost my favorite in an orange Philip Armstrong gown with lace cut-outs - she looked stunning! The gold Lauren Merkin clutch is the perfect accent! This is how to wear lacy cut-outs while still looking classy, age appropriate and not channelling a skank! WINNER!!!

Welcome back to the Best Dressed List Jennifer Lawrence! I was getting concerned after the what she wore to the eople's Choice Awards, but my fellow Kentuckian stepped it up big time in a leather accented black gown by Prabal Gurung. The leather makes it edgy and young while the train and sparkling accessories give it a grown-up, ladylike look. I love it - she looked gorgeous!

Emmy Rossum sparkled in Carolina Herrera on the red carpet. The statement earrings are a nice touch too and she looks beautiful. I'm not sure about the stars and moons though... They're a little distracting from the dress which is beautiful enough without them.

Nina Dobrev's teal Monique Lhuillier dress was gorgeous. I also loved her shoes and girlie ponytail. The look doesn't wow me, but it's definitely worth a spot on the top list. Good effort!

Amy Adams looked a little bit pirate, a little bit mermaid and a lot gorgeous! I love this dress by Vionnet and her look is styled to perfection from the flowing long hair to the platform peep-toe shoes! Well played!

Naomi Watts in a black Pucci gown gets a vote because of her accessories. The gown is beautiful, but it's a bit plain for my taste. I love how she accessorized it with a blingin clutch and color pop statement earrings though, so it's a win. She looked beautiful!

The Worst

All I have to say about this is Elle Fanning needs to give her moo moo and orthopedic shoes back to her granny - she has years to dress frumpy and old, so she should take advantage of her youth & beauty now while the gettin is good! I appreciate that a million 13 year olds will now wear this look to prom, but for my money, Elle Fanning takes the cake as worst dressed at Critics Choice.

I love Anne Hathaway, I really do, but oh em gee... This isn't working for me - it's not terrible, but it doesn't live up to her amazing red carpet history. The Oscar de la Renta dress is absolutely stunning, but it looks like it's just drooping off her and the color makes her look pale and sickly. I tried to like this look, but it just didn't happen. I think she could have done better.

Again, this isn't awful, but it's really not right. Eva Longoria is a beautiful woman with a gorgeous figure, but you certainly can't tell it from this photo. The detailing on the dress is unflattering and makes her look wider. The black clutch doesn't compliment the dress and the pulled back hair is too severe. Not a fan...

Jessica Chastain's Prada dress reminds me of prom dresses my friends wore in the 90's. This isn't terrible, but it's boring and I don't thing it does anything for her. She's so beautiful that I feel as though it's a wasted opportunity. I hope she wears bright yellow or emerald green to the next red carpet.

Amanda Seyfried took a risk and I applaud that, but it doesn't work. The top of this dress is beautiful and interesting, but the bottom is awful! And what's with that hair? No, no, no!

This color is amazing on Leslie Mann, but the dress isn't red carpet ready. Love the shoes though!

Famke Janssen is gorgeous and her hair is beautiful, but this dress is just too much. I love the color and she certainly has the figure for it, but there's too much going on. Too many sparkles, sheer spots, ruffles and fabrics, but they are't going anywhere - It's like 10 different gowns piled onto one small piece of real estate down her front... I wish she'd chosen a more simple gown in this color.
