Best Party Dresses at the Vanity Fair Oscars Party 2013

It's a sad state of affairs when the after party dresses are better than the red carpet dresses at the Oscars, but you know what? There were more dresses I liked at the VF annual party than on the red carpet itself so I thought I'd share some of my favorite looks starting with Elizabeth Banks in orange Alexander McQueen looking absolutely perfect! I love the tortoiseshell belt and clutch!

At first I thought Hilary Swank was wearing Sally Field's Oscars dress, but it's a slightly different Valentino frock and it's gorgeous!

Isla Fisher looked gorgeous in bright blue Monique Lhuillier and her black clutch was the perfect touch!

This Calvin Klein dress on Jennifer Lawrence makes Pippa's bum look like an amateur... Wonder if there's a website yet dedicated to J-Law's bum? I actually wish she'd worn this dress for the Oscars instead of that silly pink poof she wore.

Juliette Lewis is adorable and I know a lot of people hate this dress, but it suits her quirky style so I like it!

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley looks amazing in Valentino Haute Couture - not sure about the black choker though... It might have been better without that.

Rose Byrne rarely does wrong when it comes to fashion and she looks amazing in this all-white look!

Love Rosamund Pike's rose print ball gown skirt with a simple black top. Her messy bob is adorable - tres chic!

Naomi Watts looking fierce in a black & gold Pucci gown - another amazing metallic look for her on Oscar night!

Marissa Tomei's jumpsuit is party perfect! I love that it has pockets and that she's done her hair is sexy, messy waves.

I love the sparkling contrast between the lace & stripes on Lily Collins's Zuhair Murad dress. Her middle part sleek bun and delicate blue earrings complete this look perfectly.

Leslie Mann's Andrew Gn dress is amazing! I would totally wear this frock just about anywhere, but it works for a formal event as well.

Solange is perfect in a bright yellow Pucci dress with bright red lips!

Blue is definitely Tory Burch's color - she looked perfect and I love her jewelry!

Vera Wang's monochrome dress looks comfortable which is great for a party, but still chic and perfect for her tiny frame.

Anna Paquin's Monique Lhuillier gown is simple, but breathtaking. I really love her loose twisty hairstyle too.

DVF sparkled in a icy column gown. I love the fur accent and her turquoise earrings!

Which of these looks is your favorite?
