Right Now - Neon Beanies, Nashville & White Hot Shoes

Fashion

  1. The biggest street style trend from London Fashion Week is without a doubt the neon beanie! The crowds at Somerset House looked like a sea of neon bobbing about. What's so great about this trend is that it's accessible for everyone - for £10 each you can snag your bright topper in neon pink, neon yellow or neon green from Topshop!
  2. I've been seeing white shoes increasingly for the past few weeks - it seems this 80's trend is back. Whether pointy toe stilettos, chic flats or chunky round-toe heels, white shoes are super chic, especially when worn with black tights or bare legs and a black dress! I'm currently loving these ultra-sophisticated Jimmy Choo white wedges!
  3. We all love to wear heels, but sometimes the pain outweighs our obsession with looking fabulous. I was lucky enough to have a pair of Red Carpet Paris Insoles in my heels during fashion week and they quite literally saved my soles! (c/o Red Carpet Paris)

Beauty

  1. I know I've said this before, but red lips are red hot right now! Nearly everyone at London Fashion Week was sporting sexy red lips at one time or another if not for the whole week! Currently adding NARS Jungle Red to my wish list!
  2. Put away your mint green and pastel nail polishes... Black is back for nails and I for one am glad to hear it! Get on-trend with Butter London Union Jack Black.
  3. Once again on the runways there was a ponytail parade! Every kind of ponytail from sleek and slicked back to bouffant & messy was seen on the heads of models on the catwalks at London Fashion Week.

Lifestyle

  1. One of the shows I went to during fashion week was held at the Middle Temple Hall. Not only is it a beautiful building rich in history, but it's also a popular filming location in London's Temple Bar where scenes from such films as The Divinci Code, Bridget Jones II - The Edge of Reason and Shakespeare in Love were filmed. If you find yourself in that part of London, it's definitely worth a look!
  2. I'm a big fan of Snack a Jacks and I just recently tried the Barbecue flavor - they're brilliant! For anyone who's a fan of BBQ flavored potato chips (one of my favorite guilty pleasures) these are a yummy, healthier substitute!
Entertainment
  1. On Wednesday night I saw one of my favorite new bands, The Lumineers. You may know them for their hit song Hey Ho. The Lumineers are immensely talented, have a unique sound and they're incredibly charming to see live. If you have the opportunity to see The Lumineers on their tour, it's not to be missed! In the meantime, check out their album - it's a favorite of mine!
  2. Opening for The Lumineers was Langhorne Slim and the Law - also a great band with really fun music and a great energy on stage. Check out their song Be Set Free.
  3. I just started watching Nashville - it's my new favorite show!
Don't forget to check out the Weekly Tune-up on Spotify with new songs added this week by The Lumineers, Langhorne Slim & Nashville.

  1. Love this post; it's nice to hear about other aspects of style besides just what one wears. :) Makeup, hair, music, home décor, and entertainment choices are all big parts of a stylish lifestyle, and many bloggers seem to let those go undiscussed! :)

  2. I am of the firm belief that red lipstick is always hot:) Have you tried NARS Heat Wave? It's another great pick. Also those Snack a Jacks BBQ chips sound delicious. I'm always on the lookout for healthy chips! I wonder if they have some here in the US...
