Right Now - Beauty Tea, Orange Blossom Macaroons, Rockgrass & Himalayan Salt-Aged Beef



  1.  I am a huge fan of Kusmi Tea. Favorites include Be Cool and Detox. I'm really anxious to try the new Kusmi Tea BB Detox,  a blend that promises to tend to all your skin's needs. Has anyone out there been drinking it? I'd love to know your thoughts!
  2. I am such a macaroon addict and I try to make a point of visiting Laduree a few times a year for a box of my favorite treats. Over the weekend I stocked up on a few favorites including chocolate, lemon, rose and salted caramel, but I also tried Orange Blossom for the first time and it was positively amazing - definitely a new favorite!
  3. I go to concerts as much as I can because I have always loved live music. While browsing the upcoming schedule for our local live music venue The Half Moon Putney I found a band that struck my interest called Hayseed Dixie. Claiming the genre 'Rockgrass,' Hayseed Dixie does tongue-in-cheek bluegrass covers of rock and pop songs by artists including The Scissor Sisters, KISS and The Sex Pistols to name a few. If you're a fan of country and rock, you might enjoy their covers of You Shook Me All Night Long by AC/DC and The Ace of Spades by Motorhead while more hardcore country fans will get a kick out of their version of Dueling Banjos. I've added a few Hayseed Dixie tracks to the Weekly Tune-up this week!
  4. Can you believe I've been living in London for almost 3 years and I just went to Fortnum & Mason for the first time last week? Me neither! Fortnum & Mason is one of London's true treasures boasting a beautiful shop, amazing windows and absolutely stunning food & confections! I saw the Himalayan Salt-aged Beef and I just had to try it! I spoke to the butcher at Fortnum & Mason who told me that the beef is cured in a room with four tons of pink Himalayan Salt which absorbs all the moisture in the air, creating exceptional cuts of beef. I opted for the fillet steaks, however there are a variety of cuts available at a wide range of prices from briskets to steaks. The Himalayan Salt-aged steaks were absolutely delicious - I highly recommend trying them!
