Ladies Day at MINT Polo in the Park - June 8, 2013

The fabulous folks at MINT Polo in the Park invited me to attend Ladies Day on Saturday - it was my first time going to the 3 day annual event and it was great fun. Londoners dressed in their finest sunny day duds were enjoying Pommery Champagne, PIMM's, cocktails by Mahiki or pints of Stella Artois while watching the action on the field and nibbling on delicious street food by KERB. Luckily the sun was shining and it was a hot summer day, not terribly typical for London in June.

For those who love a good day out or who aren't familiar with polo, there were plenty of other attractions to tempt people, from luxury shopping to trying their skills on a polo horse simulator sponsored by IG Polo.

You might recognize this guy from previous posts here on Pink Julep - it's Jamie Morrison, my polo master class instructor from last month!

How cute is this polo towel from Amara? I totally wanted to take this home with me!

MINT Polo in the Park is an all-inclusive experience and a great way to spend a day in London. There are hospitality options available, perfect for businesses looking to entertain employees & clients and Sunday is Family Day, offering events before the first match begins for little ones on the on the field. I was also impressed to find an entire area devoted to children including a wide assortment of bouncy castles and fun things to entertain the kiddos if you're attending with your brood in tow.

All in all it was a great day at MINT Polo in the Park! For those of you planning to attend London's hottest event of the season next summer, I highly recommend it. If you're an avid polo fan, I would definitely suggest springing for the grandstand tickets as it was very crowded on Ladies Day and a bit hard to see the actual game. However, if you're just in it for a social glass of fizz, a bit of shopping, some amazing street food and a taster of the 'sport of kings,' then definitely go with the general admission ticket and enjoy a brilliant day out!

Did any of you go to Ladies Day at Polo in the Park? I'd love to hear what you thought and what your favorite part of the day was?
