An Evening With Rosa Rankin-Gee, Author of The Last Kings of Sark

Rosa Rankin-Gee
It's not often I have the opportunity to chat with authors in a comfortable, easy-going setting, but such was the case last night when I attended a meeting of The Girly Book Club at The Ampersand Hotel in South Kensington. The special guest was Rosa Rankin-Gee, author of The Last Kings of Sark, her debut novel which launches on Thursday, November 8th.

I really enjoyed listening to Rosa talk about the book, her life in Paris, how the book came to be and all the adventures along the way. She truly is a fascinating gal and rather accomplished for her 26 years! I was most impressed by her saying that The Last Kings of Sark is a book she would want to read if she hadn't written it herself and that was her intention. It's nice to be reminded sometimes that for those of us who are writers, that's the ultimate goal… To be proud of our work and to write something we would enjoy reading is incredibly important.

The Last Kings of Sark launches this week and is currently available for pre-order from Amazon
