J'adore - A Playlist Inspired by Paris

Bonjour! Not sure why, but I've really had Paris on the brain lately and one of the things I loved most about my most recent jaunt to Paris (I say recent but it was nearly 2 years ago) was the music… It sometimes seems like there's beautiful music coming from everywhere in the 'City of Light'. Accordion players on the street, jazz trios in restaurants, jukeboxes in bars… There's no shortage of a soundtrack for Parisian and tourist alike. What I loved most is how the Paris musicians have a way of taking any tune and making it sound French - they make it their own. I was sitting outside a lovely cafe when a string quartet played a song that I thought sounded so familiar… It was I soon discovered "I Want to Be Like You" from The Jungle Book, but with a rather Parisian flare and it was incredible!

Since that trip to Paris, I've been on the hunt for the French jazzy tunes I love best (I don't speak French, so it's been a bit of a challenge) and I've finally curated a bit of a go-to playlist that I love when I'm cooking, enjoying a glass of wine and especially while I'm eating something delicious. There's something about wine, French music and delicious food all together on a Saturday or Sunday that really feels like a luxury! On that note (pun intended) I present you with my Paris-inspired jazzy playlist…
