A Belt Changes Everything

I've avoided belts like a plague for most of my life until recently - I've often found them an uncomfortable, unnecessary inconvenience at best, but even I can't deny their power for changing up an outfit. The simple addition of a belt can cinch the waist, break up monotony, add texture & interest and draw the eye to the thinnest part of the body, not to mention hold your trousers up… What's not to love about that?

I found this gold Betsey Johnson belt last year at TK Maxx for about £12 (BARGAIN!), but this is the first time I've ever worn it. I think I'll be popping it into my look a lot more… It's not terribly hard to find a great belt. While investing in a quality one for every day isn't a bad idea, I'll be honest, raise my hand and say that I own 5 belts, but the two I wear the most come from the men's section of Gap, each costing about £20 or thereabouts. You can of course go crazy, buy a bunch of really expensive belts from the likes of Hermes if that's what you fancy, but the point is, as long as it's crisp, clean & suits your style with a buckle that you love, any old belt will serve the same function.

Where are you buying your belts these days?
