Yves Rocher Rouge Brillance Vegetale in Rose Cocktail (℅ Yves Rocher)
For Summer 2014, French beauty brand Yves Rocher is introducing a revolutionary lipstick which incorporates cherry oil, known for its serious shine power and ability to refract light, not to mention that it's rich in Omega 6 and 9. I must admit when I saw Rose Cocktail, I thought "No way!" It looks really pink at first glance and visions of 80's Barbie style make-up started dancing through my head to the tune of Debbie Gibson's Electric Youth. I was pleasantly surprised upon application to see that this lovely lip color wears more like a heavily pigmented gloss or balm than a hard-core lipstick and it's color translates to a beautiful, light shade of pink that's perfect for the warmer months! The cherry oil gives it an ever-so-slight aroma of cherry loveliness and it sort of tastes like a more grown-up, subtle version of Lipsmackers - remember those? I'm absolutely in love with Yves Rocher Rouge Brillance Vegetale in Rose Cocktail - it's my new favorite shade for summer and I look forward to trying other colors in the line!
