Introducing London Grace

The newest addition to Putney High Street is a much welcome one as far as I'm concerned. London Grace is a fabulous, hip & adorable new spot for Southwest Londoners to enjoy five things we can't live without: epic nails, yummy nibbles, delicious coffees, cold drinks and socializing. One place bringing all these wonderful elements together is a busy girl's best friend, not to mention the ultimate luxurious treat.

On a corner just south of Putney Bridge, London Grace is bright, stylish and open, not to mention that it sits in a great location. Just minutes from Fulham, it's located almost directly across from the Odeon Cinema in Putney and nearby several great pubs, bars, shops and restaurants in the area.

As if going to get a mani-pedi with a few girlfriends wasn't enough, London Grace also offers the Grace Space, a private hire area downstairs that's perfect for pretty parties whether it be a corporate affair, a hen night, a baby shower, a birthday or just a great excuse to get the girls together for a manicure, a bottle of Champagne and a good ole fashioned chinwag! There's no hire charge for the space - just a minimum spend of one treatment and one food item, so it fits in with just about anyone's budget.

I ventured down to Putney High Street to try out a Top Notch, London Grace's cheeky little name for a full-service manicure and see what this new place is all about. After meeting founder Kirsten Hazell I was immediately taken by her, her new business venture and the story behind it. Kirsten formerly worked as a design consultant and graphic designer, but left that behind to pursue her dream combining some of her favorite things including nails, coffee & drinks. Going the extra mile, Kirsten even trained as a nail technician and she can often be found giving treatments at London Grace. Her enthusiasm is infectious and the staff are positively delightful… It's easy to leave your cares outside and get lost in an hour or two of pure charm, sophistication, a few laughs and a lot of pampering.

I'm particularly impressed that London Grace uses its own product line. From nail lacquers named after people who helped the dream become a reality to nail polish removers and a delicious smelling coconut hand cream, the products are lush and available to purchase from the salon, not to mention coming soon online! I opted for a luxe dark grey color on my nails called Peter and happily listened to the story of the man behind the polish, a family friend who encouraged Kirsten to pursue her dream.

A fully stocked bar with premium spirits, coffees, teas and other delicious libations is available not only to customers receiving treatments, but also walk-ins who just fancy a delicious treat. Also on tap are a selection of nibbles, both sweet and savory including the Giant Scotch Eggs, handmade in Hackney. All beers & ciders are brewed in Hackney Wick, Teapigs teas are available and Sipsmith's spirits distilled in nearby Chiswick are on tap as well.

I couldn't resist trying a little tipple on my visit and I opted for a Sipsmith's Sloe Gin concoction that was utterly pink perfection. The London Grace team personally visited Sipsmith's for tastings and have perfected their mixology skills. Cocktails are seasonal, so just ask what's available at the bar, however it's possible to get a standard cocktail like a G&T if that's what you fancy. As a native Kentucky girl, I was pretty impressed to see Bourbon behind the bar - none other than Buffalo Trace and I'm looking forward to trying it out on my next trip.

A Clean Thinking philosophy is at the core of London Grace's ethos, trickling from the organic milk used in coffee beverages right on down to the formaldehyde-free nail lacquers they use, so there's no need to feel guilty about your day of indulgence!

I enjoyed my manicure at London Grace and it has lasted beautifully. When they say No Nonsense Nails, they aren't joking. There's a short list of necessary services for hands and feet, both with regular polish and gel polishes - no frills, no crazy acrylics, just beautiful, clean nail treatments for gals who love having their tips & toes properly cared for. A week later, my nails still look great - no chipping, no problems... Impressive!

If you're considering a visit to London Grace, I can't recommend it enough! Be sure to check out the website for the regular specials & deals such as Happy Hour on Monday and Tuesday between 3pm & 4pm. Services start at £9, so there's definitely something for everyone's budget. London Grace is located at 26 Putney High Street and is open 7 days a week. To book, call 020 8789 1267 or book online.

  1. I thought you might be paying London Grace a visit soon! I was in there at the weekend too and absolutely loved it! I wouldn't normally put food, drink and nails together, but after a scotch egg and a few glasses of Prosecco, I was very much sold! Keep up the good work guys :)
