Netflix Picks for Foodies

via
1. If you haven't seen Chef yet, I'd definitely recommend it. While I wasn't overwhelmed with it in cinemas, it has become one of my faves on Netflix recently. The film centers around John Favreau's character, a self-absorbed chef who is down on his luck. After losing his job, he gets into the food truck business and finds that he rebuilds his life in the process. Combining social media, food and an epic road trip through America, this is a movie that will make you want to travel, eat and cook for sure!

2. Food, Inc. is a film that really changed the way I think about the food I buy and eat. It's a hard-hitting look into the American food industry, how the growing population of the planet has increased the demand for food and what the effects are of that increased demand. This one isn't really for the faint of heart, but it's well worth watching.

3. Chef's Table is a new series by Netflix that explores the lives, careers and influences of 6 chefs around the world. It's inspiring, enlightening and delicious to watch… You'll probably want to jump into the kitchen and start cooking up something amazing after just one episode!

4. Super Size Me is 11 years old and yet still timely. Find out what happens when a guy sets out on a mission to only eat McDonald's food for a whole month.

5. Eat, Pray, Love - it says it all in the title. The food is a character in this film from the spaghetti in Rome to the Tequila she sips in Bali. The main character is even the recipient the slightly unflattering nickname of Groceries! And if that's not enough to make you want to watch this one again, then do it because Javier Bardem is a hottie. Nuff said!
