5. The Flavour Thesaurus / 6. Sophie Allport Chicken Apron

We all have that person on our Christmas shopping list who loves to cook, but how do you find a gift for them that they won't have already? There are lots of fun new gadgets for the home cook on the market these days, from cutting boards with iPad stands to beautiful wreaths made of fresh herbs. For someone quite special on your Christmas shopping list, I can't recommend the Robert Welch Signature Knife Block Set enough - these are the knives I use in my kitchen. I've had them for over a year and they're amazing! Having a great set of knives makes cooking such a breeze and overall, a more enjoyable experience. Of course any home cook would love a lovely piece of cookware, but if you're unsure of what they have already, why not think outside the box with something unique like the Le Creuset Camembert Baker or even better, a cookware display they can use to show off their collection? If all of these suggestions sound a bit off-budget, not to worry... I've never met someone who loves to cook and claims to have too many aprons - there's always one or two in the laundry basket waiting to be washed. Finally, for the creative cook, I highly recommend The Flavour Thesaurus which provides endless combinations of ingredients, tastes & flavors that complement each other for those adventurous enough to write their own recipes! Whatever you choose, remember that it's the thought that counts and the recipient will most likely be delighted that you took their favorite hobby into account while shopping - how thoughtful of you!
