If there's anything that should be recycled and given a new lease on life it's cashmere! Turtle Doves is a brand doing just that, creating new, luxurious pieces from recycled post-consumer cashmere. It doesn't get more eco-chic than that!
Not only am I a fan of Turtle Doves, but they've also made scarves and wraps for a rather impressive list of celebrities including Carey Mulligan, Dame Judi Dench and Keira Knightley. Each piece is 100% recycled cashmere and be easily cared for as well.
Originally, this family business sourced their cashmere sustainably through the purchase of jumpers from charity shops, however now the brand works with textile waste merchants. The only British luxury cashmere brand that makes all their products from recycled materials, Turtle Doves won a Green Apple Award for Environmental Best Practice at the Houses of Parliament in 2015.
I absolutely love the Cashmere Fingerless Gloves from Turtle Doves! They're soft, comfy and so warm. As a blogger, avid Instagram user, Google Maps dependent and Snapchat fanatic, I pretty much require free fingers at all times so that using my phone is easy. When I'm wearing my Turtle Doves I don't feel like I'm sacrificing anything in the way of comfort, warmth or dexterity. Of course it helps that they're 100% cashmere, super cute and every bit the little luxury. I wrote about Turtle Doves once before and I'm happy to report that I wore my previous pair until they were threadbare... That's how much I loved them!
Turtle Doves Fingerless Gloves come in a wide variety of colors ranging in price from £22 to £25, however if you don't see a color you like, try the made-to-order service for £32 which allows you to order any color you want and you can even send a photo to help make sure the Turtle Doves team gets it just right.
