Subscriptions are all the rage these days from Netflix and Amazon Prime to thinks like Glossybox for beauty buffs or even Pink Parcel for your monthly feminine supplies. What could be more handy than having something you rely on delivered straight to your door just when you need it? For coffee lovers, Wanted.Coffee is tending to that need with exquisite, unique, high quality micro-lot coffees by 3, 6 or 12 month subscriptions or available individually via the online store. Martin Symington, the Master Roaster agreed to chat with me about Wanted.Coffee and what makes it so special.

Have you always been a coffee lover?
I love coffee. There are so many varieties and each variety has a distinct taste. I started with camp coffee, then I moved onto soluble coffee before progressing to the real thing and that was almost 20 years ago now.

Describe your ideal location and setting for a perfect cup of coffee.
It would have to be any of the great coffee places like Pike Place Market in Seattle.

What is Wanted.Coffee?
Wanted.Coffee is an artisan coffee roasting business. We are extremely passionate about the product we offer and we pride ourselves on delivering an exceptional product which is distinctive and exquisite.

How long has Wanted.Coffee been on the scene?
Wanted.Coffee launched in Northern Ireland in November 2016.

Do you have any exciting plans for Wanted.Coffee in the pipeline?
This year we are launching into the rest of the UK, so we are embarking on a further growth phase.

How did you come up with the name?
In a world overflowing with average, the most unusual, the most unique, the best, is always the most wanted.

Where do you source the coffee beans?
From many different countries across the continents of South America, Africa and Asia.

Have you ever visited the places where you source the coffee beans? Any favourites?
Yes, I've visited a number of them, though one of the most memorable was undoubtedly the Tarrazu region of Costa Rica. The landscape was fantastic, the weather is warm all year round and it's one of the world's premier coffee growing regions.

How does Wanted.Coffee work?
Wanted.Coffee is very much like a subscription service, but with more choice. Customers can sign up for 3, 6 or 12 months. If you opt for a longer subscription, you get more in return, so it proves to be better value for money. Every month we line up four of the most exclusive coffees we can find. You select the one you think you'll prefer and then the following month you can select a new alternative from the range identified that particular month. For many customers, the online shop is a popular starting point, particularly for those wanting to try Wanted.Coffee before committing to joining the club.

What exactly is micro-lot coffee?
A micro-lot coffee is when the best of the coffee from a particular crop is isolated from the rest of the standard beans. These 'special' beans produce a wonderful coffee.

What sets Wanted.Coffee apart from purchasing coffee at a coffee shop?
Simplicity. You make your choice and we deliver - great coffee to your door without any hassle.

Wanted.Coffee subscriptions range in price from £8 per month to £10 per month, depending on the option you choose and the bags of coffee can be bought individually for £11 per bag. For more information on Wanted.Coffee, to purchase a bag or to join the club, visit wanted.coffee.
