When the tulle skirt trend first made its entrance I was the first person to roll my eyes at the notion... I had lived through this trend once before and while I loved it then, I felt that it was one best left for my 18 year old self and not so much the right fit for my personal style now. I rocked the glittery tube top and floor length tulle skirt, both in baby pink of course, like nobody's business when I was in university and I think it suited my whimsical personality back then, but fluffy princess isn't a look I've clung to as I've gotten older, so I rejected this trend relapse... Until now. I don't know why but suddenly I find myself drawn to textures and volume again after years of sticking to skinny jeans and slim skirts. The tulle skirt is a surefire way to embrace that style craving for me and I find they're a bit easier to pull off day-to-day with some alternative styling. I love these fun skirts tucked under a fitted coat, paired with a cropped jacket or dressed down with a t-shirt and a cute pair of trainers. Worn with a cute, fitted sweater and tights, this skirt makes easy work of looking stylish without sacrificing much in the way of warmth or comfort. It's a fun, easy piece that looks a little more extra than most of my other basics and I love it.
