Upping My Skincare Game With Pixi

This year I've been making a conscious effort to improve my skincare routine because to be honest, I've always been rubbish at it. Consistency has never been my strong point when it comes to skincare, but let's face it... None of us is getting any younger and for me, it's time. I must admit that I've done a lot better since the start of the year and I've rediscovered how much fun it is to buy and try new products. After having heard about Pixi time and again on social media, I finally decided to pick up a couple of products to add to my routine and I love them.

Pixi Retinol Tonic - £18

I bought the Pixi Retinol Tonic out of pure necessity. I needed a toner because I'd run out of the one I was using and this looked like a great option. Turns out that I was right - it's a good one! With Vitamin A to minimise the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, enlarged pores & pigmentation, this little bottle is just what I need. I've definitely seen an improvement in my skin since I purchased this product and even my facialist said she could see it too. I pretty much use this at least once a day after cleansing but before serum - sometimes I use it twice if I'm feeling extra motivated. It doesn't sting like some toners or smell extra alcoholic or strong, but I love the clean feeling on my face after I've used it. Pixi Retinol Tonic retails for £18 and you can find it here.

Pixi Glow Mud Cleanser

I bought Pixi Glow Mud Cleanser because I was short on exfoliator and while it wasn't quite what I expected, I still love this product. If you're looking for a proper scrub of an exfoliator, this isn't the product for you, but I wouldn't discount it. I had wanted to try a mud cleanser and that's pretty much what this is, but with 5% glycolic acid to exfoliate. The mud deep cleans and detoxifies the pores while the hyaluronic acid, aloe vera and avocado oil help to plump and nourish the skin. Pixi Glow Mud Cleanser is recommended for use daily in the morning and evening, but I only use this product about 3 or 5 times a week. It feels really luxurious and my skin feels super clean and smooth after using it, but I find daily use has resulted in some minor breakouts, so I use it more sparingly than suggested. None-the-less, this product is lush and has become one of my favourites. For just £18, Pixi Glow Mud Cleanser is just as lush as some of my more luxury skincare products, but at a fraction of the price.
