Silky Spots

Silky Spots

As soon as I saw this slinky, silky, satiny skirt at H&M I was immediately transported back to the 90's! That said, I hated bias cut satin pieces in my teenage years because they never sat right on my curves and the zip-up waistbands were so horribly uncomfortable. Finding the right fit was impossible and similar skirts back in the day just never seemed to lay right. It's nice to see things have changed... This pretty, polka dot H&M skirt is a winner, only £24.99 and has an elastic waistband. It fits true-to-size and I'm wearing a medium. It's also worth noting that the polka dots show up brighter in photos, almost looking white, but they're a light beige colour - not white. I love that I can wear this cute little number now with tights and a fluffy jumper, but pair it with a satin tank and sandals or heels later in the year when it's warmer. It's so nice to see a 90's classic that's being reinvented in an even better way.
