Recent Outfits No. 4

I started these posts as a way to encourage myself to get dressed every day and I'm pleased to report that it's absolutely working! On the other hand, I've not yet managed to get a photo every single day because life gets in the way or the weather doesn't cooperate, but it's getting better... Here are 3 outfits from the previous week.

1. Red, White & Blue
Red, white & blue plaid shirt with distressed jeans
Shirt: Gap (old) / Jeans: Gap / Shoes: New Balance / Belt: Gap (old)

For some reason I'm really drawn to this colour palette lately... I've always loved navy, but lately I'm really feeling red lately and luckily I have these cute sneakers to tie it all together.

2. Playsuit
Leopard Print Playsuit with black tights
Playsuit: ASOS / Tights: Lindex / Sunglasses: Quay Australia / Shoes: Clarks (old - similar here)

I invested in a couple of playsuits recently because they looked cute and Springy... This one is my absolute favourite. It kind of looks like a dress, but it's actually shorts. I'm wearing it now with tights, but I think it will be super comfy for warmer weather as Spring arrives.

3. Bandana Braids
Red Bandana
Bandana: Primark (similar here) / Hoodie: H&M / T-shirt: Gap (old - similar here)
Jeans: Gap / Shoes: New Balance / Bag: Laura Ashley (old) / Sunglasses: Quay Australia

I've taken up learning how to decorate cakes and cookies as a hobby during lockdown and aside from that, I spend a lot of time baking and cooking in general. It's necessary to keep my hair tied up on days when I'm in the kitchen so there are no long, stringy surprises in my tasty creations. For that reason, it seems that most days lately I'm wearing my hair in pigtails or braids with a bandana tied on like a headband and I actually really love this for a casual look. It also means I can give my locks a break from heat styling, which is always welcome to keep my hair from getting too damaged.
