Weekend Radar No. 1

Weekend Radar No. 1
It's getting increasingly more difficult to fill the downtime while in lockdown, so I thought maybe I could help... Every week I keep an eye out for things to do during the weekend so I don't have to face the boredom and the scaries. Here's what's on my radar this weekend...

I found this show on Netflix this week and I'm already addicted. I plan to binge watch Extreme Cake Makers as much as possible this weekend... It's so fascinating and the cakes they make are incredible!

I've never been the biggest fan of Noel Coward, but I saw the trailer for Blithe Spirit in the cinema when it was still open and this looks hilarious! The cast is pretty great too... I'm a big fan of both Isla Fisher and Leslie Mann!

I started this adorable bookmark cross stitching project a couple of weeks ago. I'm hoping to finish it this weekend! It's such a fun little thing to do to pass the time or keep my hands busy while I'm watching telly. The instructions are easy to follow and the kit contains everything you need (except a small stitching hoop which you can pick up online for cheap).

I used to decorate cakes all the time in my early 20's, but when I moved to the Cayman Islands in 2008, I gave all my cake stuff to a friend and never did it again. Lately I've been feeling the itch to get back into it. There are some people I love with birthdays coming up and I either can't celebrate with them at all or can't celebrate the way we would've liked... It's also going to be my 40th this year, so I'm getting busy with some cake decorating and while I'm not exactly a total beginner, it will be good to get back to basics, so I can't wait to crack open this book over the weekend!

I started reading Next Year in Havana the other night and I'm already hooked after only a few pages. I can definitely see myself devouring at least part of this book over the weekend, perhaps in a hot bubble bath... It's one of those novels that grabbed me straight away and I am dying to find out what happens!

What are you up to this weekend?
